A nice quality Woolly rhino jaw section with some very nice teeth and details. Jaw section is from C.Antiquitatis or Woolly rhino. Age is Pleistocene period. Origin: Hungary, pest county. Condition of the jaw is good but please bear in mind it’s a broken jaw section so dose have repairs and damages. These fossils are often also coated in a very clear sort of varnish to help stabilise the fossils as they are often found in very water logged quarries and the fossil would fall apart otherwise. There are three teeth in the jaw and a very broken remain of a fourth. Teeth themselves are in good shape with some chipping here and there. Size wise the section of jaw is about 34cm long at its longest points. We highly recommend seeing this piece in person. Or we are happy to send further videos or photos.
