An excellent A grade Phacops Trilobite on rock. All fossils are genuine so may have minor damages/repairs. As with allot of Moroccan trilobites these are sometimes coated with a very light layer of black polish/paint this is done to conceal the light grey filler or glue sometimes used to fill cracks and breaks in the fossil. The fossil is of course still very much genuine but it’s worth keeping this in mind if this bothers you or not. Personally we sometimes think the concealer looks better than the grey blotches on the fossil and sometimes brings out some of the details in the fossil, but it’s all down to individual tastes and preferences and this is also reflected in the price of the fossil. please contact the shop if you require any more information before purchasing we are always happy to help.
